The Security Lab is used by students and lecturers as part of courses for security-related analyses in the field of industrial control systems. Attack and defence mechanisms in industrial networks are also analyzed.
The modern equipment in the Security Lab also allows the simulation of hacking attacks on company networks in a protected room and the performance of security tests for hardware and software. Students also practise possible practical cases in so-called Red Team (attacker) and Blue Team (defender) training sessions. Special training courses for so-called "Incident Response Teams", i.e. working groups that deal with security-relevant incidents in the field of information technology, are also held in the Security Lab.
