Styrian Service Cluster - Best Practice Days

In June, the monthly Best Practice Day of the Styrian Service Cluster took place at the Smart Production Labs of the Institute of Industrial Management at FH Joanneum in Kapfenberg. The numerous representatives from industrial companies were given input on the topic of artificial intelligence in practice. Dr. Paul Hofmann from FH Joanneum explained what AI actually means, how diverse it is and where it can be used in a company. Dr. Barbara Mayer from Siemens explained how the MTP (Module Type Packaging) standard can be used for the uniform definition of machines and entire systems, making AI-supported machine control possible. DI Willibald Erhart, MBA MSc from Saubermacher presented practical examples of the use of AI in the route optimization of waste disposal vehicles as well as approaches to the use of AI. The event ended with interesting discussions over a BBQ.
