The NextGen Lab was opened in cooperation with SAP and is designed as a creative zone where new ideas can be generated and designed. Our service engineering research group in particular makes intensive use of this creative spirit to develop new, service-based business models. The innovative design and modern, digital equipment of the SAP NextGen Lab supports the creative processes.
In the course of workshops, various creativity techniques are taught in the NextGen Lab, as well as methods and instruments for the development of business models and innovations in a practical manner. These include the Business Model Canvas, Customer Value Canvas and the St. Gallen Business Model Navigator. An additional key focus in the NextGen Lab is the design thinking approach for developing new ideas and problem-solving strategies.
